Altitude & Pressure Converter (Experimental - Do not use yet.)

Input Type:

Altitude:

Pressure Entry:

Enter mean sea level pressure. When a non-MSL altimeter reference is used, enter the altimeter setting and use the indicated altitude as the altitude input.

Output Type:

Output Unit:

Pressure Entry:

Enter mean sea level pressure. When a non-MSL altimeter reference is used, enter the altimeter setting, and the output will correspond to the indicated altitude.

Temperature Entry Mode:

MSL Temperature:

Results

Output:

Based on ICAO Doc 7488/3.

Notes:

• Altimetric and pressure altitude assume ISA temperature; gravitational variations are not accounted (geopotential based), in order to comply with altitude indication specifications of ICAO Annex 6 or EASA CS regulations.

• Density altitude includes ISA deviation correction but does not account for gravitational variations.

• Entry must be within [-5000, 80000] m or [-16404.2, 262467.2] ft interval in terms of geopotential altitude.
